General Information

The infrastructure provides 30 weeks of beam time per year for external users who want to carry out DESIREE storage ring experiments. See below for instructions on how to apply and submit a beam time proposal. The proposal submission deadlines are April 30 and October 31 for experiments to be carried out Sep-Dec and Jan-Jun, respectively. The proposals will be evaluated by external reviewers.

The infrastructure offers theoretical/computational support to users that have been granted beam time. More information can be found here. 

Note: For academic users, there is no charge for carrying out experiments at the infrastructure. We can, however, not provide any financial support to its users for travel, accommodation or other related expenses.
